Established in 1957, Bako National Park is the oldest national park located in Sarawak, Eastern Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Believe it or not, Bako is one of the smallest national parks in Sarawak which is covering 2,727 hectars of land at the peak of Muara Tebas peninsula.
True to its feature, Pangkor Island got its infamous name among the locals from a Thailand word, Pang Ko, which means “beautiful”. Once famed for the its tin mines in Perak, Pangkor Island situated in the North West coast of Malaysia right in the Straits of Melaka and only a few kilometers ferry ride away from Lumut, the nearest town in the mainland.
